Habillé cameo
French habillé = dressed; a cameo in which the figure depicted is wearing jewellery, thereby appearing as if she were ‘dressed’. The jewellery elements added to the piece usually take the form of necklaces, earrings or tiaras, which complement the figure depicted. A hybrid of glyptics and goldsmithing.
