Window enamel
Type of enamel; in this technique, enamel – similar to leaded glass – is fused between metal bars that serve as a framework. The enamel is therefore not applied to a solid surface and is consequently translucent. Window enamel was particularly popular during the Art Nouveau period and in the 1920s.
