Granulation
Latin granulum = grain; ancient goldsmithing technique in which tiny gold beads are crafted into ornaments and soldered onto a base material. Developed by the Etruscans in pre-Christian times and rediscovered in 1870 by the Italian goldsmith family Castellani.
