Trembler brooch
French trembleuse; a style of jewellery from the 18th to the early 20th century, in which the elements of the brooch – often floral motifs – vibrated (‘trembled’) when moved, thanks to fine springs or screw mechanisms. This technique makes diamonds and gemstones sparkle intensely, as they reflect light from various angles.
