Description
Rare Viennese bronze cherub necklace, handcrafted from bronze and supplemented silver chain (stamped, tested and guaranteed).
The piece of jewelry has a decorative middle section made of hand-painted bronze in the typical Viennese style, whose five main links consist of charming winged cherubs. The cheeky little angels have blond, curly hair, kissable red mouths and blue, wide-spread wings. The largest central cherub wears a small movable suspension in the shape of a red heart.
Starting from the middle section, silver pea chains lead into a lobster clasp. The end of the chain is also decorated with a red heart.
Viennese bronzes are small sculptures cast in bronze by Viennese manufacturers, which were widely used as decorative objects in the 19th and early 20th centuries. These amusing little figurines originated in the workshops of Franz Bergmann and Fritz Bermann and spread to many parts of the population as gifts or collectors' items.
This beautiful necklace was created around 1910 and is still a rare collector's item today!
