Description
Scandinavian enamel bracelet from around 1930, crafted from gold-plated 925 silver (stamped and guaranteed).
This enchanting bracelet consists of five rectangular and four square links, alternately mounted and flexibly connected. The links are guilloched with fine wavy lines and floral motifs, topped with a layer of bright green translucent enamel. Five applied, semi-sculptural flower branches in harmoniously coordinated shades of green and rose are particularly charming.
The bracelet fastens with a secure clasp.
This elegant bracelet was created in Scandinavia around 1930. The design may have originated with the Norwegian silversmith David Andersen, who became known for his masterful enamel work.
The use of translucent enamel was extremely popular during the Fabergé era, between 1900 and 1915, and significantly shaped European goldsmithing. This technique involves engraved patterns in shallow relief on a metal surface and then coated with clear, translucent vitreous enamel. The reflected light from the metal creates a three-dimensional depth.
In this bracelet, the delicate color combination and precise craftsmanship exude a timeless elegance, making it a true favorite.
