Eye-catching vintage statement bangle with an Egyptianised scarab motif, made from gold-plated 925 silver (stamped and guaranteed) and polychrome enamel.
The decorative bangle features a large, sculpted scarab on the front that has been skilfully decorated with enamel. The colourful design extends across the entire bangle and reflects the style of ancient Egyptian jewellery art in terms of both colour and design.
The bangle can be easily put on and taken off from the side thanks to a concealed hinged hinge.
The scarab was considered a lucky charm by the Egyptians: at high tide, it was seen crawling out of its nests in the ground, signalling the longed-for flooding of the Nile.
This richly decorated vintage bangle was created around 1980 and is a beautiful and individual accessory for many occasions thanks to its symbolism and colourful enamel work in the Egyptian style.
