Description
Beautiful Art Deco bracelet from Theodor Fahrner, made of gold-plated 925 sterling silver and marcasite (stamped, guaranteed and signed).
The softly flowing bracelet consists of twelve movable links, which resemble small shells with their curved, fan-like shape. Each link is decorated with the finest embossing typical of the period and sparkling metallic marcasite.
The piece is fastened with a click clasp typical of the period.
The bracelet was made by Theodor Fahrner in Pforzheim around 1930. Fahrner is considered one of the pioneers of modern jewellery design in Germany and was one of the first jewellery manufacturers to commission artists to design his pieces. These were mass-produced from affordable materials such as silver and represented a cheaper yet artistically appealing alternative to the high-priced jewellery of large jewellers.
Please also note the matching chain under item number 202513040.
Dimensions of the bracelet: ca. 19.5 x 1.6 cm.
Diameter of the marcasites: ca. 1.0 mm.
Weight: 18.2 grams.
Condition: Very good historical condition, freshly cleaned, see photos.
The bracelet comes lovingly packaged in one of our high-quality cases and with a certificate of authenticity.
Please note: Vintage and antique jewellery are worn items that may show slight signs of wear due to their history.
