Diameter of the coral beads: ca. 3.7 mm.
Description
Lovely 1950s brooch in the shape of a leaf with a lucky beetle, crafted from jadeite, coral and 750/18-carat yellow gold (stamped and guaranteed).
The brooch, typical of the period, consists of a naturalistically engraved jadeite leaf with a golden stem, to which three red coral beads in the shape of stylised berries are attached on fine gold wires. Between the corals is a spiral-shaped wire that could represent the typical shoots of a vine. Particularly enchanting, however, is a small, sculpted, red enamelled ladybird, which is also located on the leaf and gives the piece of jewellery a charming, lively accent.
The back of the brooch has a white gold wire spiral that can be twisted into place to securely fasten it to clothing and ensure a good hold.
This charming piece of jewellery was made in Munich around 1955 and is suitable both as a lucky charm on the lapel and as a loving gift!
Dimensions of the brooch: ca. 3.3 x 3.1 cm.
