A stunning historical bracelet from the Belle Époque period, set with an emerald and diamonds, crafted from platinum and 585/14 carat yellow gold (tested and guaranteed).
The bracelet consists of gold bar links that merge into a striking centre section with platinum plating. Filigree openwork and period-typical bow motifs are set with numerous small rose-cut diamonds and complemented by four larger old-european-cut diamonds. The diamonds have a total weight of ca. 0.58 carats and are of beautiful quality (H-I, SI1-SI2).
At the centre of the motif sits a fine, bright green square-cut emerald weighing ca. 0.24 carats. Set in gold, the coloured stone forms a beautiful contrast to the platinum-set diamonds and at the same time creates a harmonious connection to the rest of the bracelet.
A delicate box clasp with a safety lock ensures a secure fit on the wrist.
This enchanting bracelet was created around 1910 during the Belle Époque, a period of peace characterised by exuberance, optimism and joie de vivre. People attended galas and plays wearing jewellery in the so-called garland style, which was characterised by bows, flowers, garlands and motifs reminiscent of lace ribbons.
This bracelet is also a wonderful testament to that period and demonstrates the high level of craftsmanship of the era.
