Particularly high-quality cameo pendant depicting Ceres, set with diamonds, crafted from 750/18-carat gold (tested and guaranteed).
The exceptionally beautiful pendant bears a finely cut, oval shell cameo showing the profile portrait of Ceres facing left. The Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility is traditionally depicted with attributes such as fruit, torches, snakes or wreaths of corn - on our pendant she is adorned with a lavish bouquet of ears of corn and flowers in her hair. The skilfully crafted portrait is in an antique style and is based on historical models.
The centre of the high-quality yellow gold frame is decorated with fine goldsmithing. Three sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds sit on each side of the frame, with another adorning the pendant eyelet. The brilliant-cut diamonds have a combined stone weight of ca. 0.14 carats and are of beautiful quality (H-I, VS2-SI1).

This charming piece of jewellery was created in Stuttgart around 1980 and shows the same fine, artistic cutting technique that established the great appreciation for cameos of this type in the Historicism period.
