Description
Beautiful Art Deco diamond pendant in yellow gold 585 /14 Kt and platinum (stamped and guaranteed) with a chain in gold 333 / 8 Kt.
The fine, elongated pendant consists of a structure of clear geometric shapes with a delicate decoration of millegriffes on a platinum overlay. A hexagonal, shiny black onyx disc is attached to the end, in the centre of which sits a sparkling transitional cut diamond. Two further diamond roses are integrated into the architectural structure. The diamonds together have a stone weight of ca. 0.1 carat and are in the good quality range (H-I, SI1-SI2).
The matching chain in 333 white gold was added later and can be worn in two lengths using an integrated eyelet ring.
This historic necklace was created in Ulm around 1920 and is a particularly impressive example of jewellery designs from the Art Deco period. The beautiful contrast between the materials used and the geometric design language are typical of the elegant designs of this era. The clear design still makes it a contemporary piece of jewellery with many possible combinations.
