A beautiful and unique cultured pearl necklace featuring a vintage cameo pendant, crafted from gold-plated 925 sterling silver (hallmarked and guaranteed).
A finely cut shell cameo, depicting a woman’s profile facing right in an antique-style design, hangs from a delicate chain of freshwater cultured pearls with a shimmering white luster. The attribute on the side—a lyre—suggests this may be Euterpe, the muse of music, who in Greek mythology is often depicted with the so-called aulos (the double flute) or the lyre. The beautiful gem is framed by a narrow, matching cord border.
The cultured pearl necklace fastens with a simple spherical magnetic clasp made of gold-plated silver, with small decorative elements on both sides—also made of gold-plated silver—adding a lovely accent.
The classic cameo was created around 1980 and was paired with the pearls to form an elegant necklace that can be worn with both classic styles and traditional attire.
