Description
Beautiful historical aquamarine pendant with chain, set with seed pearls, both crafted from yellow gold 375 / 9 ct (stamped and guaranteed).
The oval pendant is set in a delicate frame in the centre with an oval-cut aquamarine weighing ca. 1.95 carats. The sides of the frame are decorated in a flower shape and each set with a seed pearl. An oval, slightly baroque natural pearl serves as the lower end.
The pendant is worn on a filigree anchor chain, which is securely fastened with a spring ring.
The pendant was created in England around 1900 and its design is typical of that era. Jewellery from this period is characterised by its extraordinary lightness, playful elegance and an almost floating delicacy. Delicate lines, floral motifs and the use of gemstones in pastel colours are typical, reflecting the very high standards of refinement and craftsmanship of the time.
