Cool Finnish design bangle by Kaunis Koru, made of 925 silver (stamped, signed and guaranteed).
The bangle consists of a simple, shiny polished hoop with three spheres attached to the front, which also serve as a clasp.
The simple yet effective design of the bangle is typical of the jewellery made by the famous Finnish jewellery manufacturer Kaunis Koru. The innovative company was founded in Helsinki in 1956 and was also known for its combination of cool silver and the use of iridescent spectrolite, a variety of labradorite found only in Finland. The designs for the jewellery were provided by well-known Finnish designers, some of whom signed the jewellery with their own hallmarks. From 1989 onwards, the manufactory was taken over by Kalevala Koru.
This extraordinary bangle was designed by Heikki Kaksonen in 1972 and is a must-have for lovers of modernist design from the 60s and 70s!
