An exceptionally exquisite three-strand Akoya cultured pearl necklace featuring a historic French diamond clasp in 750 / 18 Kt yellow gold (hallmarked and guaranteed).
This exquisite necklace consists of three rows of the finest round Akoya cultured pearls, strung in ascending order of size, in a delicate cream-white hue, which captivate with their uniform, silky lustre, their perfect surface and the impressive size of the front cultured pearls.
The strands of pearls lead to an artfully designed decorative clasp set into the side, in the form of a delicate, sparkling rosette, which was crafted in France around 1880 (French hallmarks). It is set with a total of 19 rose-cut diamonds, which create a refined, vibrant sparkle. The impressive total weight of the finely cut rose-cut diamonds is ca. 2.7 carats.
The exquisite Akoya cultured pearls were expertly incorporated into the exquisite diamond clasp as a necklace in the 1960s, arranged so that the large pearls are centred at the front and the elegant clasp serves as an eye-catching feature at the side.
