Description
An elegant, historic Art Deco diamond pendant with chain, crafted from 585/14 carat yellow and white gold, 333/8 carat gold and platinum (hallmarked, tested and guaranteed).
A beautiful oblong pendant in 585 yellow gold with a platinum overlay hangs from a delicate 333 white gold chain featuring a practical spring ring clasp. It is decorated in the style typical of the period with volutes, curved openwork and millegrain beads. The centre of the pendant is adorned with a sparkling Old European Cut diamond, surrounded by six further diamond roses distributed throughout the design. The elongated pendant bail is also richly decorated and set with a further diamond rose. All the diamonds have a combined carat weight of ca. 0.18 carats and are of a very fine quality. (I–J, VS2–SI1).
This highly elegant pendant necklace was created around 1920 and dates from the Art Deco period, whose preference for white metals and diamonds has been particularly beautifully realised in this piece of jewellery. It is ideal for festive occasions and special events, but can also be combined well with modern outfits.
