Exquisite historical Belle Époque necklace with diamonds, crafted from 585/14K yellow and white gold (tested and guaranteed).
A beautiful teardrop-shaped pendant in yellow gold with platinum plating hangs from a delicate white gold chain with a small box clasp and safety catch. Filigree openwork and millegrain beads hint at a subtle floral motif. The center of the pendant is adorned with a large sparkling transition-cut diamond of ca. 0.33 carats (G-H, VS1-VS2), which is framed by four larger and six smaller old european cut and octagonal diamonds, which together have a stone weight of ca. 0.3 carats.
The necklaces of the Belle Époque, which ended around 1918, captivate with their exquisite jewelry craftsmanship and sophisticated design. Mostly made of white metals, they combined millefiori decoration, filigree openwork, and sparkling diamonds to create particularly delicate, light-filled compositions. Typical features include stylized garlands, bows, festoons, and floral ornaments in the Louis XVI Rococo style.
