Early Art Deco pendant necklace with emeralds and diamonds, crafted from 585/14 carat yellow gold and platinum (stamped and guaranteed) with a 333/8 carat gold chain.
The exceptionally elegant pendant is composed of striking geometric shapes such as rectangles, complemented by a pointed triangle as a movable suspension. The fine platinum-plated bars of these elements are set with a total of 18 old-european- and octagonal-cut diamonds weighing ca. 0.8 carats (H-I, SI1-SI2) and nine oval-faceted emeralds weighing ca. 1.8 carats.
The technical-looking shapes and the attractive colour contrast between the sparkling diamonds and the bright green emeralds are just as characteristic of the glamorous jewellery designs of the Art Deco period as the materials used.
A matching pendant loop made of 750 white gold was added later, as was the matching chain made of 333/8 K yellow gold.
The historic necklace was created around 1915 and is a particularly impressive example of the design preferences of the early Art Deco period. Thanks to its clear yet opulent design, it is still a contemporary piece of jewellery with many possible combinations.

Diameter of the old-european-cut diamonds: ca. 2.0 - 2.4 mm.
Diameter of the octagonal-cut diamonds: ca. 1.2 - 1.8 mm.

Dimensions of the emeralds: ca. 2.0 x 1.6 mm, ca. 1.8 ct in total.
Weight: 5.8 grams.
