Elegant diamond earrings from the early Art Déco period, crafted from 750/18 ct yellow gold and platinum (stamped, tested and guaranteed).
These highly elegant earrings each consist of narrow bars set with two rose-cut diamonds, which are connected to a rounded decorative element via a movable eyelet. These freely swinging decorative elements are set with a total of four large and beautifully sparkling old-european-cut diamonds weighing ca. 1.2 carats (I-J, SI1-P1). The diamonds are set in secure bezel settings, accentuated by millegrain and enclosed by a polished frame.
The upper end of the delicate earrings is formed by another diamond rose on classic studs with butterfly clasps.
In keeping with the taste of the time, the earrings are made of yellow gold and coated with platinum. Techniques were developed early on that did not detract from the brilliant shine and bright sparkle of diamonds, but rather emphasised them. The most precious of all stones were often set in "white" metals such as silver, platinum and later white gold. To ensure the longevity of a piece of jewellery, these alloys were often gold-based.
The delicate antique earrings were created around 1915 and are a beautiful example of early Art Déco jewellery. With their understated yet glamorous design, they remain sought-after and cherished accessories to this day, complementing both classic everyday outfits and chic evening wear.
