Opulent Austrian garnet traditional costume necklace with marcasites, crafted from 935 silver (hallmarked and guaranteed).

A richly decorated, cartouche-shaped pendant in 935 silver hangs from a hand-knotted chain of polished, deep-red garnet beads. It is crafted from curved bars set with fine, glittering marcasites. At the centre is an oval-faceted garnet, as is the case with the floral-design drop, which is set with a slightly smaller garnet of the same style. Two free-swinging, pendulum-shaped elements complete the beautiful design of this necklace.
This lovely piece of jewellery fastens with a matching oval box clasp in 835 silver, ensuring secure and comfortable wear.

The necklace was made in Austria around 1930; the chain has been expertly re-linked in our workshop. This decorative piece pairs particularly well with traditional costumes and dirndls.
