Rare American bow brooch from the 1940s, crafted from 925 silver (stamped, signed and guaranteed).
The impressive, large bow-shaped brooch is adorned with a flower with a green glass stone in the centre. Above and below the flower, the bow design is complemented by a trail of buds and additional green and yellow glass stones. Additional floral elements on the ribbons create a wonderful connection between the bow and the flower arrangement.
The brooch can be easily attached to clothing thanks to the safety clasp on the back.
This extraordinary brooch was created around 1940 in the USA and comes from the House of Hobé. Hobe et Cie was founded in Paris in 1887 by Jacques Hobe. His idea was to use fine jewellery craftsmanship techniques to create silver and glass jewellery for both the middle class and wealthy society. Brought to America by his son William in 1915, Hobé jewellery was characterised by sophisticated designs and stunning creations, and was also popular with Hollywood stars and society Celebrities.
