A charming antique horseshoe-shaped ring, set with a banded Agate and crafted from 585 / 14 carat yellow gold (tested and guaranteed).
The beautiful ring head is shaped like a horseshoe, set with a polished, blue-grey layered agate in table cut. The stone features natural layers of colour, making it wonderfully suited to monogram and coat-of-arms engravings.
The horseshoe and agate are flanked on the ring shoulders by two three-dimensional belt motifs crafted from gold. In jewellery, the belt symbolises friendship and love, for it connects and holds fast where things would otherwise come apart.
A simple, polished ring shank completes this historic design.
This enchanting ring was created around 1900 and is a piece of jewellery rich in symbolism! Not only is the horseshoe intended to bring good luck to its wearer, but the two belt motifs also ensure that this very luck is held fast forever.
