Description
A rare Indian pendant from the Victorian era, set with turquoise and seed beads, crafted from high-quality, heavy 750 / 18-carat yellow gold (assayed and guaranteed).
The pendant dates from around 1900, when India was part of the British Empire under Queen Victoria. It came to us via England! It is crafted in a typical Indian garland style and set with 22 small turquoise cabochons; 15 delicate milky-white seed beads hang freely at the bottom.
A beautiful, removable decorative eyelet allows you to thread a chain of your choice. We would be happy to advise you on chains from our range.
This Victorian pendant was created in India around 1900 and made its way from there to England. It perfectly embodies the elegant Indian style of that era, which remains so appealing and decorative to us to this day.
