Large antique Fahrner ring with a cameo, crafted from 925 gold-plated silver (hallmarked, signed and guaranteed).
This striking ring from Theodor Fahrner in Pforzheim is set with a beautifully cut shell cameo depicting a lady in an antique-style profile facing left. The elegant cameo is framed by the finest silver filigree work, executed using the cord soldering technique characteristic of Fahrner jewellery.
The beautifully decorated ring head is joined by the ring shoulders, which are also adorned with decoration, and which merge into a solid and sturdy band.
This beautiful piece of jewellery by Theodor Fahrner was created around 1935. Fahrner is regarded as one of the pioneers of modern jewellery design in Germany and was among the first jewellery manufacturers to commission artists to design his pieces.
The pendant with item number 202613410 was crafted using the same intricate technique and can be beautifully combined with this lovely ring to form a set.
