Charming micro-mosaic earrings, crafted from 333/8-carat gold and gold-plated tombac (hallmarked, tested and guaranteed).
A round ornament, entirely covered in fine micro-mosaic work, hangs from each hand-forged 8-carat gold hook. Small flowers and leaves come together to form a four-petalled bloom, accentuated by a delicate, gold-plated cord frame. The intricate mosaic work is rendered in shades of green, blue and white, creating a beautiful contrast to the gold-plated setting.
The mosaics are set in gold-plated tombac settings, whilst the practical ear hooks were later crafted from 333 gold.
These enchanting earrings were created around 1910 in Italy, where the centuries-old, sophisticated technique of micro-mosaic originated. Our pretty earrings can be wonderfully integrated into everyday wear, but also pair superbly with traditional costumes and dirndls.
