Antique pendant necklace featuring an aquamarine and diamond set in 585/14-carat yellow gold and platinum, with a chain in 333/8-carat gold (hallmarked and guaranteed).
The elegant pendant, in a slender teardrop shape, is crafted from 585/14 carat yellow gold (hallmarked and guaranteed) and features a fine platinum overlay on the front. It is set with a fine sky-blue oval-cut aquamarine of ca. 1.8 carats and a step-cut diamond of ca. 0.04 carats (G-H, VS1-VS2). These gemstones are elegantly framed in a style typical of the period, featuring fine openwork and millegrain decoration.
The pendant is complemented by a delicate, matching seed chain with a spring ring clasp, crafted from 333/8-carat gold.
This exquisite and rare pendant was created around 1915 during the Belle Époque and is a wonderful testament to an era when delicate floral and dainty jewellery designs were en vogue.
