Beautiful, versatile vintage traditional costume earrings, crafted from 800 gold-plated silver (hallmarked and guaranteed).
These antique earrings consist of an oval decorative element featuring a charming floral motif at its centre. The flowers and leaves have a fine grained texture, and the centre of each flower is set with a turquoise decorative pearl. The oval frame beneath is smoothly polished and features a wavy edge, giving the earrings a lovely three-dimensional effect.
The decorative elements are mounted on practical hinged clasps, each fitted with a simple half-sphere at the front. If you remove the decorative element, the hooks can also be worn as simple half-spheres without the pendant, thereby transforming the earrings into delicate, understated ear jewellery.
These decorative traditional earrings were made around 1900, originate from Linz and can be combined beautifully with traditional costume and dirndls. The two different ways of wearing them also make them a versatile favourite.
