Description
Large Theodor Fahrner pendant with a cameo, crafted from 925 gold-plated silver (hallmarked, signed and guaranteed).
This large, rectangular-shaped pendant from the Fahrner workshop in Pforzheim is crafted from gold-plated sterling silver and features, at its centre, a finely cut shell cameo depicting a woman’s portrait in an antique style. The lady, with her up-do adorned with flowers, is shown in profile and looking to the left.
Particularly beautiful and typical of Fahrner jewellery is the setting of the cameo: the finest ornamentation and curved openwork in artful cord soldering provide the cameo with a stylish frame.
Thanks to the large pendant loop, which is equally richly decorated, you can thread a chain of your choice through it. We would be happy to advise you on chains from our range.
This opulent pendant was created around 1935 and is distinguished by its beautifully cut cameo and the fine cord soldering. This special technique characterised Fahrner’s filigree jewellery of that era. To this day, the name Theodor Fahrner stands for artistically compelling designs and high-quality craftsmanship.
It pairs beautifully with the ring bearing item number 202613411, which is also from Fahrner.
Dimensions of the pendant (including eyelet): ca. 5.4 x 3.3 cm.
Dimensions of the cameo: ca. 2.3 x 1.8 cm.
Weight: 11.1 grams.
Condition: Very good condition, freshly cleaned, see photos.
You will receive the pendant lovingly packaged in one of our pretty cases and with a certificate of authenticity.
Please note: Vintage and antique jewellery are pre-owned items which may show slight signs of wear due to their history.
