Historic medallion pendant in the shape of a book with a chain, both made from 800 silver and 925 silver (hallmarked and guaranteed).

This pretty 800 silver pendant is adorned on the front with intricate floral engravings and crafted in the shape of a book. The reverse features a delicate guilloché pattern. This lovely little book opens just like a real book and offers space inside for small photographs and mementos.

The sturdy 925 sterling silver seed chain was added at a later date and can be opened and closed easily and effortlessly with a lobster clasp.

The book shape has always been a popular design for medallions and symbolises knowledge, stories and memories. Our beautiful medallion dates from around 1930 and makes an excellent, personalised and thoughtful gift.
