A lovely antique ladies’ charivari with eleven coin pendants, crafted from 835 silver (hallmarked and guaranteed).
This decorative ladies’ charivari consists of a pretty chain in a double-link design, to which eleven historic coins are attached: three Austrian 1-korona coins from 1915 and 1914 featuring Emperor Franz Joseph I, a 20-kreuzer coin from 1868, also bearing the portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I, a 3-Kreuzer coin bearing the portrait of Elector Charles VII and, on the reverse, the crowned oval shield of the quadruple coat of arms of Bavaria and the Palatinate; a Canadian 10-cent coin from 1968 featuring Queen Elizabeth II; a half-Mark coin from 1906; a 5-Pfenning coin from 1875; a 1-Kreuzer coin from 1800 bearing the effigy of Franz II, with a crowned double-headed imperial eagle on the reverse; another Austrian 1-korona coin from 1908 featuring Emperor Franz Joseph I; and a 6-Kreuzer coin from 1849 of the Austro-Hungarian Empire under the reign of King Franz Joseph I.
The ladies’ charivari is fastened with two beautifully decorated pins, the fronts of which are adorned with crowned Bavarian diamond coats of arms.
This vintage accessory dates from around 1930 and is the perfect complement to traditional folk costume and the dirndl.
