Rare antique micro-mosaic pendant with chain, crafted from gold-plated silver and 333/8 carat yellow gold (stamped, tested and guaranteed).
This finely crafted Italian pendant is set with an intricate micro-mosaic made up of countless tiny glass stones. In the centre, a delicate white dove appears against a blue background, enclosed in an elegant oval frame. The upper part of the pendant is adorned with three square and two round decorative elements, whose decorative patterns attractively frame the composition. Below the dove is a triangular decorative element to which further movable micro-mosaic pendants are attached.
The pendant has an elongated eyelet and is connected to a pea chain in 333/8 ct yellow gold (stamped and guaranteed) that was added later.
The intricately designed mosaics with their beautiful colours in blue, white and green, as well as the multitude of artistic decorations, make this piece a particularly beautiful example of historical micro-mosaic craftsmanship.
