Large historical medallion pendant made of gold-plated tombac, suspended from a long chain of 925 gold-plated silver (hallmarked and guaranteed).
A large, oval tombac medallion, engraved on both sides with beautiful floral motifs, sits on a 925 gold-plated silver pea chain. On the front, the centre features a stylised vine with leaves, surrounded by a decorative pattern.
On the reverse are floral tendrils that converge on a smooth surface intended for a personalised engraving. The large pendant eyelet is also delicately engraved and completes the attractive design.
Inside, the antique locket offers space for small mementoes such as locks of hair, pictures or photographs. The sturdy pea chain can be securely fastened with a lobster clasp.
The locket was made around 1910 and originates from England, where wearing lockets containing sentimental, personal items was very much in fashion. Thanks to its beautiful craftsmanship, it remains a wonderful piece of jewellery to this day.
