Large vintage statement necklace with ceramic scarabs, crafted from gold-plated sterling silver 925 (tested and guaranteed).

The opulent necklace is composed of rounded rectangular links in size relief with Egyptian hieroglyphics. In the center, they are set with turquoise glazed ceramic scarabs that contrast beautifully with the gold-plated elements.

On the back, the necklace closes with a hook clasp attached to a chain of round and oval ring links.

Inspired by the movie "Cleopatra" with the unforgotten Liz Tayler, jewelry in the Egyptian style came back in fashion in the 60s. The necklace was created directly in Egypt around 1965 and is still today an extravagant and decorative statement.
