Christiane Scharrer-Sieb

Art historian M.A.
Gemologist
Diamond appraiser

Growing up in a family with an affinity for music and art, I gained my first professional experience at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg after completing my master's degree in art history, classical archaeology and German literature at the universities of Erlangen and Paris. I then moved into the art trade and completed a period of training at the Neumeister auction house in Munich before taking over the European arts and crafts department, which also included jewellery, at the Nagel auction house in Stuttgart. After three years, I returned to Neumeister and headed the jewellery, watches and gems department for the next 15 years. At the same time, I completed my training as a gemologist and diamond appraiser in Pforzheim.
In 2011, I finally founded Halsbandaffaire. Since then, I have been putting my many years of experience at the service of my customers. As an expert in diamonds, gemstones and pearls, I am passionate about my daily work with these precious materials. As a passionate jewellery historian, I am constantly searching for beautiful antique pieces both at home and abroad. It is a wonderful profession and a calling to uncover, certify and present new treasures for my customers every day.

Stephanie Steidl
Art historian, M.A.

My interest in jewellery and gemstones was sparked at an early age by my grandmother, who regularly opened her jewellery box for me and let me try on her beautiful necklaces and rings. Having been interested in art and creative since childhood, I studied art history, art education and classical archaeology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich after graduating from secondary school. After completing my master's degree, I was initially drawn to art education, where I was able to pass on my art historical expertise, but also my love of practical design, to a wide variety of museum visitors.
After several years of professional experience in numerous museums in Munich, however, I felt a growing need to combine my lifelong passion for jewellery with my career and to enter the trade in antique and modern jewellery. I was particularly attracted to the direct work with and on the object. Now I support the Halsbandaffaire team and am delighted to be able to hold small works of art in my hands every day, explore their history, restore them to their former glory and pass on my own fascination to our customers.

Julia Grosch
Art historian, M.A.

Jewellery has always fascinated me, not only as an accessory, but also as an expression of traditional goldsmithing and a bearer of unique stories.
With a master's degree in art history from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and a specialisation in gemstones and goldsmithing, I bring with me in-depth expertise and a deep understanding of the cultural significance and aesthetics of jewellery.
My ongoing training as a diamond appraiser and gemologist enables me to view jewellery not only in its historical and design context, but also to evaluate its materiality and quality with trained expertise.
I am particularly keen to share my passion for timeless elegance and fine craftsmanship with our customers – whether through personal consultation or inspiring insights into the world of jewellery.

Anne Völlger
Media designer

Even as a child, I was enthusiastic about jewellery, painting and my own creative designs, so after graduating from the Landshut Ceramics College and the Landshut Technical College, I decided to become a lithographer.
This allowed me to work creatively as a media designer for 30 years, working for well-known brands in the fashion and jewellery industry.
As a passionate jewellery wearer, I always sought a balance to my purely computer-based design work in my free time by designing and making necklaces and bracelets for my friends and myself.
I have also been working as a freelance artist for many years and exhibit my oil paintings and etchings in Munich and the surrounding area.
With my combination of computer expertise, creativity and enjoyment of advising customers, I am now supporting the Halsbandaffaire team. I am looking forward to learning from my colleagues' in-depth knowledge of art history and gemology so that I can provide comprehensive advice to our customers.
