Description
Elegant vintage goldsmith ring with fine Arabic dhikr engraving on carnelian, crafted from 585/14K yellow gold (stamped and guaranteed).
The rectangular ring head of this special ring is set with an orange carnelian with an elaborate Arabic engraving. The wide ring head is connected to a sturdy ring band decorated with small ornaments.
The ring is a Shiite ring with a reference to God and the martyr Ali Al-Reza. The inscription literally means: “God is the greatest. There is no lord except Ali Riza.” Such rings are often worn as a sign of religious affiliation, spiritual connection, or as a protective amulet. In the Shiite tradition, it is particularly popular to wear rings with inscriptions of the imams.
The impressive ring, created in Munich around 1980, is a high-quality piece of goldsmith craftsmanship. Regardless of its religious significance, it is also a decorative piece of jewelry for men, but can be worn just as stylishly by women.
