Vintage Georg Jensen by Nanna Ditzel Design bangle no. 160, made of 925 sterling silver (stamped, signed and guaranteed).
The heavy, solidly crafted bangle features a wave-like structure that creates interesting light refractions on the polished surface. It was designed by the Danish textile, jewelry and furniture designer Nanna Ditzel (born October 6, 1923 - died June 17, 2005), who was one of the most important representatives of Scandinavian design.
From 1954, she was the first woman to design jewelry for the Danish brand Georg Jensen. Her designs are characterized by simple and particularly expressive forms.
The Georg Jensen brand worked on the philosophy of creating innovative designs that are both beautiful and functional. The company was founded by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904 and is still known today for combining high-quality craftsmanship and artistic aesthetics.
