Description
Funny historical necklace made entirely of yellow and green glass flowers, leaves and beads. The fine and detailed glass elements have been remounted by us and lead to a new hook clasp on the back in gold-plated sterling silver 925 (stamped and guaranteed).
The charming chain was created around 1925 at a time when the traumas of the First World War seemed to be over and everything was striving for renewal: fashion, jewellery, architecture and lifestyle in general were influenced by the "Roaring Twenties", when people enjoyed themselves in bars and cinemas and Josephine Baker danced in her famous banana skirt in Paris. Fashion jewellery also reflected a newly won joy of experimentation, which helped new materials such as brass, bakelite and glass to great popularity.
Length of the chain (incl. buckle): 45.5 cm.
Width: approx. 3.0 - 3.5 cm.
Weight: 115.0 grams.
Condition: Wonderful historical condition, three flowers slightly damaged, new clasp, freshly cleaned and rewound, see photos.
You will receive the necklace lovingly packed in one of our high-quality cases and with a certificate of authenticity.
Please note: Vintage and antique jewellery are worn objects which may show slight signs of wear due to their history.
