Description
Charming historical necklace and pendant for traditional costume and dirndl made of 13 lots silver (stamped and guaranteed). The pendant consists of four strands of double pea chains with floral decoration and a three-part suspension with decorative stone trimming. The upper pendant has a floral shape and carries a small single decorative stone in the middle. The larger, central pendant has seven red decorative stones arranged to form a floral motif. The stones are all round cut and faceted, probably garnets. The flower ensemble is surrounded by rich filigree decoration and wire work, on which a delicate hanging in the form of a heart dangles on the left and right. In the lower part of the hanger there is a coin pendant with the Austrian 6 kreuzer coin, the so-called Scheidmünze of 1849, which has no real clasp, but nicely chiselled eyelets that allow it to be attached to the bodice of traditional costumes or dirndls.
This traditional piece of jewellery comes from Bohemia and was probably made around 1870. It is a wonderful collector's item as well as a wonderful costume accessory!
