Vintage earrings from the 50s

The 1950s were characterised by contrasts: On the one side was the conservative generation of parents, on the other the rebellious youth of the 50s. There was a conflict between virtue and strict morals on the one hand and rebellion and joie de vivre on the other, which was also reflected in the jewellery. In the 50s, earrings with special motifs such as cherries or pineapples or special decorations with chain patterns or polka dots can be found. These motifs characterised the popular rockabilly style. At the same time, high-quality pearl necklaces with matching pearl earrings existed in the 50s, which were worn with the classic pinned-up hairstyle. Here, the interplay of pearls, diamonds and white gold was often used to create the typical elegant jewellery fashion of the 50s.

60s: versatile vintage earrings

Vintage earrings from the 60s are also a hit. They are available in all shapes and sizes. Both earrings and stud earrings dominate here. In addition to pearls, precious stones and diamonds were also popular. From the second half of the 60s, jewellery became even more elaborate. Silver jewellery with turquoise, amber or malachite came into fashion in the hippie era, with clip earrings also becoming increasingly popular. At the same time, however, there were particularly elegant models: large flower-shaped ear clips were popular, which can still be ideally combined today in everyday life or for special occasions.

Vintage earrings from the 70s

Vintage earrings from the 70s are particularly versatile and can be worn with a variety of different styles. They are also suitable for everyday wear. Extravagant pearls were also used at this time. Other popular materials were white and yellow gold, combined with diamonds, or silver with transparent semi-precious stones. Earrings were mainly worn with cocktail outfits and lent elegance to their wearer.
