Description
Delicate historical pendant in 935 silver (stamped and guaranteed) on a fine 835 silver chain (stamped and guaranteed). The pendulum-shaped pendant has an openwork design and is decorated with a filigree mille handle decor, which makes it particularly elegant. The highlight of this piece of jewellery in the form of a large, aquamarine blue Verneuil Spinel can be found in the middle. The synthetic gemstone sits in claw settings and convinces with its clear, light blue hue. The pendant is connected to the fine chain by a movable eyelet, which is closed at the back with a securely functioning spring ring clasp.
This wonderful historical piece of jewellery was created around 1935 and is a typical representative of its time. At the turn of the century, August Verneuil succeeded in the synthetic production of gemstones in his Paris laboratory using the so-called melt-drop process. Especially the light blue synthetic spinel was very popular at the beginning of the 20th century.

Dimensions of the trailer (incl. eyelet): 3.1 x 1.4 cm.
Diameter of the synthetic spinel: approx. 9.6 mm.
