Rare antique Art Nouveau brooch with amethyst, crafted from 800 silver (stamped and guaranteed).
The large cushion-shaped brooch is set in the centre with an imposing amethyst of ca. 21.6 carats. The shining violet gemstone in antique cut sits in a corded frame and is framed by an openwork spiral pattern. The hammered surface of the brooch is further accentuated by other finely punched circles and ovals.
The suspensions at the lower edge of the brooch are particularly elegant. They consist of anchor chains of different lengths, which are fitted with pendulum-shaped points.
The brooch with a safety catch on the back makes it easy to attach the piece of jewellery to clothing.
This extraordinary historical brooch was created in Munich around 1900 and has the typical design features of Art Nouveau. It can be perfectly combined with festive occasions and is a unique piece of jewellery with historical charm!
