Wonderful antique bracelet artfully worked of yellow gold 750 / 18 Kt (tested and guaranteed as well as Monogram khc). The wide bracelet in Cannetille technique is designed over and over with filigree decor and finest hatching and wickerwork. The showpiece is formed by the cartouche on the front with curved flanks, worked in relief and formed in the finest filigree decor with floral and vegetative motifs staggered one above the other. A small seed bead sets a central accent, while the concealed buckle with additional safety chain is concealed inside.
The Cannetille technique, in which this piece of jewellery is worked, is a special kind of filigree technique, which is ornamentally executed in twisted gold wire. The wire is used to create a decorative framework of tendrils and forms. In this way, three-dimensional decorative elements with a delicate optical effect can be produced.
The extraordinarily beautiful bracelet with rarity value was created around 1830/40 in France and is a sensational piece of jewellery for lovers and connoisseurs. A comparable object is in the Walters Art Museum, Baltimore (inventory number 57.2332).
