Description
Wonderful and extraordinary historical enamel pendant necklace in silver (tested and guaranteed) with fine polychrome miniature painting with the delicate depiction of a girl dressed in a rural style as a shepherdess in the type of a country idyll. The oval porcelain plaque sits in an elaborate frame with rosette motif, completely set with pink almandines and pale green coloured stones (probably emeralds) as well as with seed pearls in discreet cream-grey chandeliers. The pendant has a chain of fine links, which is accentuated segment by segment with almandines and small seed pearls. The chain has a securely functioning spring ring buckle on the back.
On the back side hides an amulet / medallion - compartment with glass lid, for the storage of a portrait, a lock of hair or similar.
The rare pendant necklace was made around 1880 in France and is a very beautiful piece of jewellery with a collector's value.
