Description
Typical art nouveau pendant from Theodor Fahrner, made of silver 935 (stamped and guaranteed). The Art Nouveau design language inspired by flora and fauna is clearly reflected in the vegetable, softly curved design of the pendant, which is finely pierced and decorated with an amethyst and three rice pearls. The lilac amethyst in cabochon cut sits freely swinging in the middle of the pendant and is accompanied by the fine shimmering white of the pearls at the lower edge of the piece of jewellery. A solid loop connects the pendant with a delicate chain in round armour pattern, made of silver 800 (stamped and guaranteed). The chain is closed with a safely functioning spring ring.
The filigree historical trailer necklace was created around 1905 and is a product of Theodor Fahrner who, at the beginning of the 20th century, had an excellent understanding of combining artistic design and industrial production and has since been known as an "artist manufacturer".
Length of the chain: 50 cm.
Dimensions of the trailer (incl. eyelet and suspension): 3.8 x 1.8 cm.
Dimensions of the amethyst: approx. 13.3 x 3.8 mm.
Diameter of the rice beads: approx. 2.3 mm.
Weight: additional 6.7 grams.
Condition: Very nice historical condition, freshly cleaned, see photos.
You will receive the necklace lovingly packed in one of our high-quality cases and with a certificate of authenticity.
Please note: Vintage and antique jewellery are worn objects which may show slight signs of wear due to their history.
