Exquisite antique bracelet with seven lava cameos, crafted from gold-plated tombac (tested and guaranteed).
The rare bracelet consists of seven oval links set with finely cut lava cameos in various shades of brown, gray and black. The cameos are decorated with reliefs of antique-style portraits of ladies.
The bracelet can be closed using a box lock with a securely functioning latch.
This precious piece of historical jewelry was created in Italy around 1860 and is a testimony to the great enthusiasm for antiquities in the 19th century. The excavation sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum were extremely popular and significant stops on the educational journeys of the time, from where pieces of jewelry like this were brought back as souvenirs.
