Historic ring with shell cameo, crafted from yellow gold 585/14 ct (tested and guaranteed).
The large ring head is adorned with a very finely cut, sculpturally curved gem with the image of Zeus, the father of the gods, in profile to the left. He is depicted with two of his typical attributes, the laurel wreath and the bundle of lightning. The beautifully ornate bezel setting and floral decoration on the ring shoulders round off the elaborate design.
The ring, which was created around 1910, is particularly impressive due to its size and the high quality craftsmanship of the carved gem.
