Beautiful typical Art Nouveau pendant, made of yellow gold 750 / 18 Kt (stamped and guaranteed). The navette-shaped pendant is openwork in a characteristic Art Nouveau design, made of fine arches and circular elements, and is set in the middle with a charming old-cut diamond of approx. 0.04 carat in the medium quality range. An additional accent is set by a small orient pearl, which is movably mounted on the filigree pendant motif. At a solid eyelet the pendant is connected with a fine link chain, which can be closed at the back with a spring ring. The delicate chain consists of filigree eyelets and intricate staff motifs made of the finest wire. Like the pendant itself, it is handcrafted. At the little castle she wears the hallmark af (presumably Alexis Falize) through which the piece of jewellery could be assigned to the French traditional house Falize, more precisely to its founder Alexis.
The delicate historical piece of jewellery was made around 1910 in Austria, the necklace probably a little earlier in the circle of influence a. Falize Paris and is a beautiful example of the jewelry fashions of Art Nouveau at the beginning of the twentieth century.
