Thickness of the bracelet: ca. 3.6 - 7.1 mm.
Description
Heavy Mexican statement design bracelet with amethysts, crafted from 970 silver (stamped, signed and guaranteed).
The bracelet follows a pattern of alternating oval and rectangular links accentuated with graphic elements. The geometric decorations are reminiscent of the traditional Mexican design language, which has been interpreted in a modern way here. The oval elements are also set with six round faceted violet amethysts totalling ca. 8.0 carats. All elements are movably pinned together.
The concealed box lock fits seamlessly into the design and is also fitted with a safety chain.
The cool vintage bracelet was created around 1960 in the Los Ballesteros workshop, which was founded by Jalil Majul Ballesteros in Iguala, Mexico, in 1937. The workshops were later relocated to the city of Taxco, which is considered the centre of Mexican silversmithing.
It goes wonderfully with the earrings with the item number 202412595 and the large statement necklace with the item number 202412593, both of which come from the same workshop.
Dimensions of the bracelet: ca. 18.0 x 2.0 cm.
Thickness of the bracelet: ca. 3.6 - 7.1 mm.
Diameter of the amethysts: ca. 6.7 mm, totalling approx. 8.0 ct.
