Description
Enchanting historical brooch made of gold-plated silver 800 (stamped and guaranteed) and fine Mediterranean coral pearls in the shape of a grape umbel. The deep red corals are threaded on wire to a grape umbel, which is decorated at the top with finely chiselled vine leaves and delicate spiral vines. On the back the large brooch has a well functioning needling with safety slide.
The sweet brooch was created around 1930 in Naples and is a fine example of the enthusiasm for antiquity that has repeatedly been expressed in the art of jewellery, when grapes, vines and leaves were symbolically interpreted for the Dionysus cult of antiquity. Today this pretty piece of jewellery can be combined freely of any symbolism as an individual and playful accessory to many different outfits and styles.
Dimensions of the brooch: 4,7 x 2,2 cm.
Diameter of coral beads: approx. 3.1 - 3.8 mm.
Weight: 6.5 grams.
Condition: Wonderful historical condition, slight signs of oxidation on the back, freshly cleaned, see photos.
You will receive the brooch lovingly packed in one of our high-quality cases and with a certificate of authenticity.
Please note: Vintage and antique jewellery are worn objects which may show slight signs of wear due to their history.
